HOT REPAIRING METHOD OF LINING OF BLAST FURNACE

PURPOSE:To repair the damaged parts of the linings of a blast furnace precisely with less material losses by fixing the refractory blocks suspended from the hole parts at the furnace top by means of the supporting metals inserted into the through-holes provided in said damaged parts and spraying refractories into the spacings between the blocks. CONSTITUTION:The level of charging materials 2 in a blast furnace 1 are lowered to about 1-2 below the damaged parts 3 of the furnace wall and the accurate positions of the exposed parts 3 are observed. A required number of through-holes 4 are provided from the outside of the furnace in the parts 3. Block supporting metals 5 of which the preceding ends are bent like hooks are beforehand inserted through the holes 4. Castable refractory blocks 9 provided with hook fittings 10 and anchors are 11 are hoisted with a crane or the like 7 and wire ropes 8 and are put into the furnace through a hole part 6 such as armor hole, manhole or the like of the furnace top. The blocks are brought near the positions 3 and the metals 5 are hooked to the fittings 10. The blocks 9 are brought near the positions 3 and the metals 5 are fixed. Castable refractories 19 are sprayed and applied into the spacings between the blocks 9 through a pipe 16 inserted through the hole 6.
