<p>PURPOSE:To improve directional stability and repulsive efficiency by a method wherein a head main body is composed of a head part and a hosel part, the weight of the hosel part is made 5% or below of the head main body weight and its length is made 4.0cm or below. CONSTITUTION:For a head main body 1 of wood club, the weight of a hosel part 4 is made 5% of the total weight of the body 1 and below; and its length L, 4cm and below; and then a flattening ratio of a head part 2, 1.4 and below. By this composition, the principal axes of inertia C-C of a batting surface 3 is parallel to the ground surface, and the range of a sweet spot P for a ball is approached around the central point O for the batting surface 3. When batting the ball, thus, even though its ball spot is missed from the central point O, the symmetric property of a ball-path is kept and its direction is stable. Since the flattening ratio of the head part 2 is made 1.4 and below, the head part 2 is spherical and repulsive efficiency is improved.</p> |
