MICRO BORING MACHINE IN NC JIG DRILLING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To automate the system by coupling one end of a lever having a fulcrum in the center with a cylinder while the other end thereof with a spindle holder provided with a hydraulic shockabsorber and controlling the lowering force to be applied at the tip of a drill during machining operation. CONSTITUTION:A spindle shaft 4 is secured through a spindle holder 3 to a hydraulic shockabsorber 2 and moved up and down through a sliding section 5, while the cylinder 1 of a drive source is coupled through a lever 8 and a hinge 7 with the spindle holder 3 thus interlocking the cylinder 1 and the spindle holder 3. Force to be transmitted from the cylinder 1 to the lever 8 decreases as the lever 8 inclines thus decreasing the lowering force to be applied at the tip of the drill 11. In particular, the lowering force is decreased when the drill 11 is removed and the lowering speed is controlled through the hydraulic shockabsorber 2 to reduce thrust gradually without varying the speed thus improving the service life of drill.
