<p>PURPOSE:To minimize the distortion of a signal and to obtain a satisfactory signal by controlling a phase of a chrominance subcarrier modulated by two color signal components and a luminance signal, and a phase relation of two color signal components, based on the first reference signal, at the time of eliminating a time base fluctuation of a signal. CONSTITUTION:From an output Y signal of a time base correcting device(TBC) 11, a reference phase signal which has been added at the time of recording is extracted by a reference phase signal extractor 33, its phase is compared with that of an output reference chrominance subcarrier 27 of a sink generator 15 by a phase comparator 34, its error signal is led to a phase shifter 35, a phase of TBC read-out signals 22A, 23A being an output of the sink generator 15 is controlled, and by its output signals 22B, 23B, Y, R-Y and B-Y signals are read out of the TBCs 11, 12. In such a way, the timing for reading out the signal from the TBC is controlled, the Y, R-Y and B-Y signals having a residual chrominance subcarrier in an input video signal whose phase is the same or the nearest as or to the chrominance subcarrier 27 is always obtained in the output of the TBC, and a satisfactory composite video signal is obtained in a terminal 21.</p> |
