<p>PURPOSE:To absorb an ethylene gas evolved from vegetables and fruits, to suppress aging by antimicrobial effects and to preserve freshness of vegetables and fruits for a long period of time, by making fiber containing a copper compound and an ethylene absorbent coexist in the same package of vegetables and fruits. CONSTITUTION:Fiber (e.g., cotton, rayon or polyamide-based synthetic fiber) containing a copper compound (e.g. metal copper or copper hydroxide) and an ethylene absorbent (e.g., active carbon, silica gel or zeolite) are made to exist in the same package of vegetables and fruits.</p> |
