PURPOSE:To polish a work surface in a highly accurate manner without entailing any shear drop in a peripheral edge of the work by installing both upper and lower surface plates and a center roller independently capable of rotation and drive via a triple shaft, making the upper surface plate pressable to the lower surface plate under specified pressure, and installing a guide roller selectable to both work and retreat positions, in a addition. CONSTITUTION:After loading works W, as many as guide rollers, on a lower surface plate 11, the guide roller 31 is moved to a work position from a retreat position, and these works W are held free of rotation between a center roller 14 and the guide roller 31. Next, the work W is pressurized by an upper surface plate 21 set up concentrically with the lower surface plate 11, while those of lower surface plate 11, upper surface plate 21 and center roller 14 are rotated and driven in each specified direction, and the work W held by these rollers 14, 31 is rotated at this holding position and both sides of it are polished at the same time without tilting it. In consequence, each surface of these works W is polishable without entailing any shear drop in a peripheral edge of the work W. |
