<p>PURPOSE:To preserve freshness of vegetables and fruits in a food storing chamber, by forcedly circulating air in the food storing chamber by a blower, adsorbing and removing an ethylene gas by a filter during the circulation. CONSTITUTION:First, a switch 6 is turned on, a motor 9 and a fan 10 of a blower are rotated and air containing an ethylene gas formed by respiration of vegetables and fruits is sucked from an inlet port 4. Then the sucked air is passed through a filter 3, the ethylene gas is adsorbed on an adsorbent such as zeolite or active carbon. Then, the air from which ethylene gas is removed is discharged from an exhaust vent 11 at the back face to preserve freshness of vegetables and fruits.</p> |
