MANUFACTURE OF REINFORCED POLYMER PRODUCT

PURPOSE: To manufacture a reinforced polymer product by bringing reinforcing fiber as well as an aqueous suspension of alternate copolymers of a carbon monoxide and an olefinic unsaturated compound into contact with an outside surface of a rotary wheel having a plurality of molds, and dewatering by pressure reducing and drying operations. CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing fiber of 60 to 80 wt.% and having a length of 3 mm or more and an aqueous suspension of 20 to 40 wt.% of alternate copolymers of a carbon monoxide and an olefinic unsaturated compound having an intrinsic viscosity measured in an m-cresol if 60 deg.C of 0.5 to 10 dl.g<-1> are brought into contact with an outside surface of a rotary wheel having a plurality of molds protruding inside or outside for dewatering the suspension by pressure reducing the inside. A substance adhered into or on the mold of the wheel is dewatered by a pressure reducing and at least partly drying operations including heating of the adhered substance. The molded product is removed from the wheel, and a reinforced polymer product is manufactured. The molded product can be executed for an operation for effectively improving a stability of profile dimensions by drying by again hot air drying or microwave or high frequency heating.
