INTRAPERITONEAL TREATMENT BY CHEMICAL TREATMENT ANTITUMOR AGENT AND NONSTEROID ANTI- INFLAMMATORY DRUG

PURPOSE: To reduce a tendency of a chemotherapeutic antitumor agent(CAA) to cause adhesion in treatment of carcinoma in the abdominal cavity by simultaneously administering the CAA and a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agent(NSAID). CONSTITUTION: When carcinoma in the abdominal cavity is treated by administering a CAA, an NSAID, e.g. ibuprofen, tolmetin or indometacin in a dose sufficient to reduce a tendency of the CAA to cause adhesion is administered simultaneously with the CAA. Adriamycin, methotrexate, bleomycin, cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil, etc., are cited as the CAA.
