<p>PURPOSE:To improve strength, weather resistance, waterproofness, etc., of asbestos slate without requiring removal of aged part freely from environmental pollution in simple process, by applying a composition containing a specific acrylate based compound to the surface of asbestos slate. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing dicyclopentenyloxyalkylene (meth) acrylate expressed by the formula [R is H or CH3; R' is 2-13C alkylene and 4-6C oxaalkylene (having >=2 segments of >=2C alkylene chain bonded through O); n is 0 or 1], polymerization initiator such as an organic peroxide and as necessary an additive and accelerator is applied to the surface of asbestos slate, impregnated and cured to repair the asbestos slate. The coating amount is preferably 0.4-0.8, especially 0.5-0.6kg/m<2>. The asbestos slate repaired by the above-mentioned method has excellent adhesion with a repairing material and high strength as well as improved weather resistance, wateproofness and impact resistance and the repaired effect can be maintained for a long time.</p> |
