PURPOSE:To easily create a data file having a desired record format by anybody by executing partitioning and editing processing for an input data file according to field partitioning and editing definition information held by field partitioning and editing definition generating and holding means. CONSTITUTION:A data entry picture for a partitioning and editing definition display control means displays a data entry picture used at the time of data entry on a display means 104a as the one for the partitioning and editing definition according to picture format definition information held in a field format definition holding means 102. When a user inputs a code for the partitioning and editing definition for this displayed data entry picture, field partitioning and editing definition generating and holding means 105 and 106 generate and hold the field partitioning and editing definition information respectively. Further, a data file partitioning and editing means 107 executes the partitioning and editing processing for the input data file according to the field partitioning and editing definition information held in the field partitioning and editing definition generating and holding means 105 and 106. Thus, a record having the desired record format can be created easily. |
