PURPOSE: To enhance the rigidity and stress of a cartridge by disposing a permeable cartridge consisting of a cylindrical nonwoven stock on a rigid core and spirally winding and adhering a sheath around its outside surface and integral fixing the respective ends with caps. CONSTITUTION: This fluid treatment element 10 consists of the cartridge 11 and the sheath assembly 12. The cartridge 11 includes a filter material 13 consisting of the fibrous stock of the single layer of nonwoven microfibers. Further, the inside surface 15 of the filter material is coaxially provided with the perforated tubular core 20 consisting of a metal or the like. The sheath assembly 12 has the permeable sheath 26 formed by continuously and spirally winding the wrap 30a, 30b around the outside surface of the cartridge 11 and is worked from various materials including polyester, polypropylene or the like. The overlapping winding pat of the sheath 26 is surely fixed by hot melting, adhesive or the like. The cartridge 11 is fixed to the filter material 13 by the blind end face cap and opening end face cap 23 existing at the end of the core 20. |
