PURPOSE: To provide a shape mating dowel for shape fixation and coupling, capable of being set from the base or the entrance of a hole into any undercut to assure a relatively high tension value by providing a cover plate directed behind the entrance of the hole. CONSTITUTION: An expanding sheath 10 of a mating dowel includes holes 12, 14 gradually tapered toward the front end to guide a cylindrical and largely open body 26. In front of the expanding sheath 10, a longitudinal slit 22 formed by a largely open thin plate 28 is provided. In addition, the expanding sheath 10 has an undercut shoulder 20 near the front end, the outside of which is gradually tapered toward the frontward shoulder 20. A guide pipe 30 adapted to be connected to the rear end of the hole 12 has a set bolt 40 to drive the largely open body 26 therewith and a cover plate 50 behind a passage for the hole 12 to determine the set depth of the expanding sheath 10. |
