PURPOSE:To provide a dandruff-preventive agent containing an alcohol extract of SHOKYO (rhizome of Zingiber officinale), effective in preventing the generation of dandruff and itchiness and safe to the scalp. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent contains 0.01-1.0wt.%, preferably 0.1-1.0wt.% of an alcohol extract of SHOKYO prepared by extracting a soluble component of the rhizome of ginger with ethanol. The dandruff-preventive effect of the agent can be further improved by adding 0.01-5.0wt.% of adzuki extract prepared by adding hexane to ripe seed of adzuki beans, defatting by warming the solvent, filtering the product, extracting the filtration residue with alcohol under warming and filtering the extract. |
