PURPOSE:To make focusing adjustment wherein focusing performance is made important by allowing exposure operation when the output of an out-of-focus quantity detecting means is in a level range where the extent of focusing is better than a 1st specific level and stopping focusing adjusting operation when the output is in a 2nd level range where the extent of focusing is good. CONSTITUTION:The out-of-focus quantity of a quantity detecting means 9 has an actual focusing range and a decision signal generating means 10 sets the 2nd decision level and 1st decision level of this range. The output of the quantity detecting means 9 is compared by a comparing means 11 with a decision signal generated by the decision signal generating means 10 and a system control means 1 allows the exposure operation when the output level of the out-of-focus quantity detecting means 9 is in the level range wherein the extent of focusing is better than the 1st level and stops the focusing adjusting operation when the output is in the level range where the extent of focusing is better than the 2nd level. Consequently, the focusing adjustment wherein the degree of focusing is made important is made. |
