PURPOSE:To simplify the work of attaching a column cover and improve appearance by attaching a cover body via an underlying member to the outer surface of a column and by drawing a cap body to an opening of the cover body and attaching via a connection means. CONSTITUTION:A column cover 1 is constituted with a cover body 1a of a U-shaped cross section and a flat plate-shaped cap body 1b for closing an opening of the cover body 1. The cover body 1a is fit via an underlying member 3 over the outer surface of a column 2 with the cap body 1b attached to the opening of the cover body 1a. A connecting means for drawing the cap body 1b toward the side of the cover body 1a comprises a connecting piece 12a attached to the inner surface on the opening side of the cover body 1a and provided with a hooking portion 16, and a connected piece 12b attached to the reverse side of the cap body 1b and provided with hooked portion 19. This arrangement makes it possible to easily attach the column cover 1 to the column 2 and to improve the appearance of the column cover 1. |
