PURPOSE:To enable a gas cock safety device to be locked and released by providing a lock pin which is coupled directly to a lock button provided on the lower side of an igniting/extinguishing button, is moved vertically in conjunction with a lock slide stopped at a present specified position and is moved vertically in conjunction with the lock button so as to be inserted into the lock slide. CONSTITUTION:With an igniting/extinguishing button 10 operated, a slide 2 is reciprocated at predetermined positions, and a shaft 5 is pushed in, whereby a gas cock 6 is operated, and a gas is supplied to a burner 8 through a gas pipe 7. The quantity of the gas supplied is determined by the position of a capacity-switching lever 9. On the lower side of the slide 2, a lock slide 3 is stopped at two positions in reciprocation thereof by pushing a lock button 3a inward, and a lock pin 4 is moved vertically in conjunction with the lock slide 3. With the lock slide 3 pushed in, the lock pin 4 is moved upward to be inserted into a groove part 2C provided at a lower part of the slide 2, thereby preventing a valve in a gas mechanism from being opened when the button 10 is depressed. |
