PURPOSE:To obtain the subject herbicide effective against gramineous weeds, broad-leaved weeds and cyperaceous weeds, by combining a herbicide effective against gramineous weeds but ineffective against broad-leaved weeds with a herbicide ineffective against gramineous weeds but exhibiting effect against broad-leaved weeds. CONSTITUTION:The objective herbicide for wheat field is produced by combining (A) 2-{2-[4-(3,5-dichlorophyridin-2-yloxy)phenoxy]-propionyl}isoxazolidine of formula I with (B) compound selected from methyl 3-[3-(4-methoxy-6-methyl-1,3,5- triazin-2-yl)ureidosulfonyl]thiophene-2-carboxylate of formula II and 2-[3-(4- methoxy-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-3-methylureido-sulfonyl]benzoate of formula III. It exhibits high and stable controlling effect, is free from phytotoxicity against wheat and barley and has low toxicity to human, animal and fish. |
