PURPOSE:To make the pressure of a solid-phase material uniform and to obtain high performance, by inserting a chromatographic tube comprising a material having a small elastic modulus into an outer tube, and compressing the solid-phase material in the chromatographic tube and the chromatographic tube itself in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:A small diameter part 13a at the inner end side of a flange 13 is inserted into the end part of a chromatographic tube 11 comprising a material having a small elastic modulus. Under this state, the part 13a and the chromatographic tube 11 are inserted together into an outer tube 12. A medium diameter part 13b is inserted into the end part of the outer tube 12. A large diameter part 13c is compressed tightly to a flange part 12b. Then, a step part 13d between the small diameter part 13a and the intermediate diameter part 13b copresses the end part of the tube 11 and a taper ring 16 in the axial direction. At the same time, a slant surface part 12e at the inner surface of the end part of the outer tube 12 compresses the ring 16 into the shorter diameter. The end part of the tube 11 is compressed to the outer surface of the small diameter part 13a, and the tube 11 is fixed. Then, the tube 11 is fully filled with a solid-phase material C (particles). Under this state, a piston 14 is pushed in the axial direction so as to compress the tube 11 and the solid-phase material C. A cap 15 is tightened until a collor 28 hits the piston 14. Thus, the piston 14 is fixed. |
