<p>PURPOSE:To remove alkali metal compds. in combustion gas at high temp. and under high pressure and to prevent a gas turbine from troubles by allowing dedusted combustion gas at high temp. and under high pressure to contact with a bed contg. a transition metal oxide such as activated alumina as reaction medium. CONSTITUTION:When a turbine is driven with a gas from a compressed fluidized bed furnace, coal gasification furnace, etc., to recover energy, combustion gas at high temp. and under high pressure is dedusted at first by introducing the gas into dust collectors 5, 6. The combustion gas is then fed to an alkali removing apparatus 1, where it is allowed to contact with a packed bed or fluidized bed comprising granular transition metal oxide such as activated alumina, activated silica, as reaction medium. Thus, the vapor and the mist of the alkali metal compds. in the combustion gas are removed. The gas is then fed to an expansion gas turbine 2 to perform a work. Thus, alkali metals which deposit easily to turbine blades are removed.</p> |
