<p>PURPOSE:To record various visible data on a magnetic recording part in a superposed state, by forming a thermal recording material, which has a magnetic recording layer, the first colored layer, a metal membrane layer, the second colored layer and a protective layer successively laminated thereto, into a strip form and mounting said recording material to the surface of a card substrate so that the protective layer is turned to the outside. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic card 10 is constituted by mounting a strip of thermal recording material 16 on the surface of a sheetlike card substrate 20. The thermal recording material 16 is formed by successively laminating a magnetic recording layer 11, the first colored layer 12, a metal membrane layer 13, the second colored layer 14 and a protective layer 15 in a strip form. The thermal recording material 16 is mounted on the surface of the card substrate 20 through an adhesive layer 17 in such a state that the protective layer 15 of a transfer sheet is turned to the outside and, thereafter, a base material is released. A visible data, for example, a bar code 22 is formed to the thermal recording material 16. The bar code 22 is printed and recorded on the thermal recording material 16 by adapting a heating means such as a thermal head, laser beam or a hot stamp to the thermal recording material 16 on the side of the protective layer 15 to selectively melt and destruct the metal membrane layer 13. Continuously, various magnetic data are recorded on the magnetic recording layer 11 of the thermal material 16 by a usual method using a magnetic head.</p> |
