<p>Benzisoxazole deriv. of formula (II) is reacted with a cpd. of formula (III) to give a cpd. of formula (IV), and this is reacted with a halogenating agent and then opt. hydrolysed to obtain a furobenzisoxazole deriv. of formula (I). In the formulae R1 is halogen or opt. lower alkyl-substd. phenyl; R2 and R3 are each H,halogen or lower alkyl; R4 is lower alkyl. Specific examples of (I) are (1) 5-chloro-7,8-dihydro-3-phenylfuro(2,3-g)-1,2-benzisoxazole -7-carboxylic acid and (2) 5-chloro-7,8-dihydro-3- phenylfuro (2,3-g)-1,2-benzisoxazole- 7-carboxylic acid.</p> |
