The invention relates to a roller shutter box serving as a housing for a shutter winding on and off a driveshaft held at its ends by movable bases on lateral cheeks closing off the said box. This roller shutter box is characterised by the fact that the said lateral cheeks 8, 9 comprise means for holding and engaging, in an axial direction, the movable bases 6, 7, the latter being mounted on the ends 3, 5 of the driveshaft 2 of telescopic type.
