摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain favorable contrast and high transparency even if an electric field is low, by a method wherein an epoxy resin matrix contains at least a kind of aliphatic epoxy resin and a difference between a refractive index of the resin matrix and a normal light refractive index of a liquid crystal is made so as to fall within a specific value. CONSTITUTION:A light adjusting material sheet 1 (resin coating) possesses structure where a liquid crystal is dispersed within a cured epoxy resin matrix 1a by becoming about spherical independent liquid crystal drops 3 by performing phase separation of the liquid crystal. The epoxy resin matrix 1a contains at least a kind of aliphatic epoxy resin as an essential ingredient and a refractive index difference with a normal light refractive index of the liquid crystal 3 is within 0.02, preferably within 0.01. A material to be used for formation of a resin coating 1 is obtained by dissolving the liquid crystal into an uncured epoxy resin matrix comprised of a single of the aliphatic epoxy resin with which a curing agent is compounded or a mixture of the same with aromatic epoxy resin. Glycidyl ester epoxy resin, glycidyl ether epoxy resin and glycidyl amine epoxy resin are used as the aliphatic epoxy resin.
