Liquid absorbing acidic gases containing a tertiary alkanolamine component and an activator for CO2 absorption, and its application to the deacidification of gases containing CO2 and possibly other acidic gases

Liquid absorbing acidic gaseous compounds, exhibiting an improved CO2 absorption capacity, the said absorbent liquid containing one or a number of tertiary alkanolamines and an activator for CO2 absorption. The activator consists of at least one aliphatic polyamine of formula: <IMAGE> in which the Rs denote a hydrogen atom or an optionally hydroxylated C1-C6 radical, provided that at least one of the Rs is a hydrogen atom, p is an integer ranging from 1 to 6 and m and n are integers ranging from 2 to 6. Application of the said absorbent liquid to the deacidification of gases containing CO2 and possibly other acidic gaseous compounds, especially H2 and/or COS.
