<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the weight and size of a magnetic tape device by allowing a motor for driving a cylinder and a motor for rotating a capstan to execute operation format switching operation and the feeding of a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:The cylinder motor 2 for rotating the rotary head cylinder 1 has direct drive constitution using its rotary shaft 3 coaxially with the cylinder 1 and is allowed to rotate the cylinder 1 in an arrow B direction reversed from an arrow A direction to be the rotational direction of recording/ reproducing. In this case, a transfer gear 29 is selectively transferred to a winding side reel board 31 or a feeding side reel board 32 in accordance with the rotational direction of the capstan motor 22 and engaged with either one of them to drive it. The operation format switching operation such as the drive of the cylinder, tape loading operation and pinch roll press-contact operation, and the feeding of the magnetic tape are executed by using a transmission means for transmitting the torque of the capstan motor 22.</p> |
