The invention relates to a method and devices for measuring a torque applied to a deformation body, two cyclic measured value sequences being generated on two axially and/or radially spaced points and the displacement of the two measured value sequences at the same measuring time intervals yielding a measured signal analogous to the applied torque. By this means, torques can be measured not only during rotation but also at a standstill.
