A contact lens is to be created which sits well even on a keratoconical cornea. The contact lens (5) has a front surface (6) and a rear surface (7). The rear surface (7) has a central zone (8) and a peripheral rear zone (9). Said peripheral rear zone is arranged with respect to the central zone so eccentrically that in a partial region of the rear surface a flattened edge is produced. <IMAGE>
