PURPOSE:To wipe a thermal resistor line and a platen roller in a simple manner, by a method wherein, the contact surfaces provided on both sides of a cleaner part are in contact with the thermal resistor line of a thermal head and the cylindrical surface of the platen roller, and the cleaner part is slid over the full length of the thermal resistor line. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition that a shank 23 of a cleaner 21 is grasped, a cleaner part 22 is inserted between a thermal head 1 and a platen roller 4 from an ink sheet insertion port 26 provided on a side plate 25 of a housing 24, and the head 1 is pressed down against the platen roller 4. Then, either upper or lower contact side surface, e.g., 22a, of the cleaner part 22 is depressed against a thermal resistor line 9, and the other contact surface 22b is depressed against the roller 4. Under this condition, the cleaner 21 is slid in the longitudinal direction of the thermal resistor line 9 as shown by an arrow 27, whereby the surfaces of the thermal resistor line 9 and the platen roller 4 are wiped and cleaned by the contact surfaces 22a, 22b provided on both sides of the cleaner 22. |
