A curtain glider has a suspension eye or hook 26 and a glider head which has two outward projecting supporting shoes 33a, 33b which turn downwards to form two recesses 34a, 34b. Starting from the recesses 34a, 34b, two securing lips 35a, 35b of L-shaped cross-section protrude downwards and laterally outwards. The curtain glider can be introduced into the rail from below at any desired point of the latter and is then secured in its position from falling out. An assembly device for inserting a plurality of curtain gliders in a rail is also described (Figs 8 and 9, not shown). <IMAGE>
