A sandwich board comprises a core made of a derived timber product (12) arranged between two layers of plastic (22), at least one of which contains an inorganic filling material. To improve the coloring properties, a coloured layer (20) is arranged adjacent to the core on the sides of the filled plastic layer which is not less than approximately 3 mm thick.
