Bus bars (7) are carried across a partition (1) of a switchgear cabinet inside a tu bular insulator (2) which has in the centre a cylindrical section (20), flanked by two conical sections (21,22). At least one of the radial steps (28) is fitted with a bush (3,4), made of phenolic resin-hard paper with a melamine lining for arc and leakage current strength. The bus bars carry a partial insulation (8) of epoxy resin, applied by a dip coating technique in a fluidized bed. Plastic screws (6) are used to fix the bushes which have an opening to suit the bus bar shape. |
