A device for the discharge of dissolved additives, such as deodorants, disinfecting agents, into the flushing water flowing into a toilet bowl is composed of a housing for receiving an additive block, having a syphon device which is formed on the base of the housing and is intended for the discharge of flushing water containing dissolved additive, having openings or slots arranged in the housing and having a device for securing the housing in the toilet bowl. The housing essentially comprises two housing halves which are at least partially provided, along their mutually facing opening border, with latching protrusions and latching grooves. The upper housing half exhibits inlet slots and/or inlet openings. The lower housing half is provided with a closed elevation which extends upwards from the base. The base of the lower housing half is penetrated by an approximately tubular connection stub. The upper housing half is provided with a tubular portion which is open on its side facing the lower housing half and, when the housing halves are fitted together, interacts with the tubular connection stub in order to form the syphon device.
