The invention relates to an electronically controlled timepiece which is provided with a multi-digit, digital counting device for determining and displaying the days of life completed by the user of the timepiece including the present one. The drive of the counting device is provided directly by the day-counting pulse of the timepiece module. The display of the days of life can be performed within the framework of existing modes in digitally controlled timepieces, such as time of day, date, dual time, timer, chronometer and others. The aim of the invention is to display the age of the user in days of life and to provide a useful reminder of the statement of Horace -carpe diem (enjoy the day) - which has become a motto to be taken seriously in wide circles of the population.
