Actuating member for an impression hammer

An actuating member for actuating an impression hammer comprises a yoke made of magnetic material, an electromagnetic coil on said yoke, and an armature which is attached by means of bearings so as to be pivotable on opposite sides of the yoke. In response to excitation of the electromagnetic coil, the armature is drawn onto the yoke and, by means of an impact rod, drives the impression hammer. The yoke consists of a multiplicity of coated plates of a magnetic material which are produced by punching with the aid of a press. The plates are coated with an insulating material and an adhesive. <IMAGE>
