Luminous area

A luminous area is described which is based on a chemiluminescence reaction system having at least one liquid component. The luminous area has a base area, a transparent cover area and one or more containers for the liquid component(s). For starting the luminous area, the components are mixed with one another in the space between base and cover area, after which the chemiluminescence reaction takes place.
