PURPOSE:To smoothly travel a traveling device without being hitched in a pipe by constituting the titled device so that three driving bodies which can be extended and contracted in the longitudinal direction by a gas pressure are connected in the traveling direction and these driving bodies are traveled in the pipe by the drive in the form of a measuring worm. CONSTITUTION:The 1st-3rd driving bodies A-C having four expandable driving body units A1-A4, B1-B4, C1-C4 are installed. The both edge parts of each driving unit A1-A4 are fixed onto the installation members 2 and 3, and the both edge parts of the deriving units B1-B4; C1-C4 are fixed onto the peripheral surfaces of the installation members 2, 5; 3, 6. Further, the installation members 2, 5; 3, 6 are connected each other by the gas sources 27 and 37, and the gas sources 7, 8 and 9, 10 are fixed onto the installation members 2 and 3. Each of these gas sources 7-10, 27, 37 is constituted by accommodating the hydrogen occlusion alloy which generates hydrogen gas by the heating by an electric heater, and a traveling device can be traveled in the form of a measuring worm by properly controlling the electric conduction of the electric heater. |
