<p>A device for treating meat or meat products with treating liquid, in particular pickle, comprises a container (1) in which the material to be treated is piled up on a perforated plate (13). A collecting space (19) for the treating liquid and for the juice expressed from the pile of material under its own weight is located below the perforated plate (13). The mixture of juice and treating liquid is pumped upward through a duct (21) provided with a pump (22) and sprayed downward again on to the material through a spraying device (32) mounted on the lid (5) of the container (1). This results in shorter treating time and improved penetration of the treating fluid into the material.</p> |
