<p>A method for dosimetering ionizing radiation provides for radiating a sample of polyethylene with a reference ionizing radiation, heating it, deforming and cooling it down in the deformed state. Then the sample of polyethylene is subjected to the radiation to be measured, heated a temperature above the polyethylene melting point, thus enabling its thermal contraction and then the dimensions of the sample are measured, on the basis of which the dose of the ionizing radiation absorbed by the sample is evaluated.</p> |
