Door safety switch (security switch) for a domestic appliance

The door safety switches, which are used in domestic appliances, can frequently be adjusted accurately only at an increased manufacturing cost during final assembly of the appliances. The novel door safety switch is intended to be easy to adjust, at a low cost, during assembly of the appliances. A switching plunger which is arranged on the cooking space door operates the switching lever (8) of the door safety switch (9). The door safety switch (9) is arranged such that it can move. During assembly, the switching element is adjusted by closing the cooking space door and, as a function of this, by the pressure of a supporting arm (5), and is fixed in its adjusted position by spring force. <IMAGE>
