PURPOSE:To reduce labor hours of manufacture, by molding a lead wire part welded to a spirally wound cell element and a terminal edge part of a winding start with the method of hot melting. CONSTITUTION:A cell element 1, in which powder of Ni is sintered to one side on a flat thin iron plate while powder of Cd is sintered to the opposite side, is wound in a spiral state to form a Ni-Cd storage battery. Here lead wires 12, 12A welded to the upper edge side of a cell element 11 are molded by polyamide base hot melting including a welded part SW, while a terminal edge part 11e used as a winding start of the element 11 is similarly molded by the melting. Accordingly, manufacturing labor hours can be reduced to insulate the wires 12, 12A and prevent falling off of the wires, further a sintered metal of the part 11e can be prevented from falling off. |
