<p>PURPOSE:To improve electro-lifetime characteristics in a SF6 gas, by forming a high resistance layer having specific compositions at the side face of an element substance comprising zinc oxide as a main constituent. CONSTITUTION:A high resistance layer 3 which has Fe, Sb for its main constituents and comprises fluorine as an addition is formed at the side face of an element substance 1 comprising zinc oxide as its main constituent. The high resistance layer 3 is formed into a nonlinear resistor which has specific compositions of Bi, Fe, Sb and S in such a way that they are 0.3-20mol%, 50mol%, 5-50mol% and 0.1-20mol% respectively, if they are estimated in terms of Bi2O3, Fe2O3, Sb2O3 and ZnS. And then, electrodes 2 are provided.</p> |
