PURPOSE:To perform sealing with good working efficiency, by a method wherein an address and information data are printed on each of envelope sheets consisting of three or more paper pieces to stack said sheets and, thereafter, an adhesive is applied to the sealing parts of each envelope sheet while said sheets are successively transferred. CONSTITUTION:An address 14 and information data 20 are printed on continuous envelope sheets by a non-impact printer 13 for printing data controlled and outputted by a computer and, after a predetermined number of sheets are stacked, an adhesive N is applied to a horizontal U-shape sealing part of the envelope sheet 1 on the surface side of the intermediate paper piece thereof in the next process by an adhesive applicator 15 while the front surface of a lower paper piece C is superposed on that of the intermediate paper piece B by a folding machine 16 and, subsequently, the adhesive N is applied to the horizontal U-shape sealing part of the rear of the intermediate paper piece B by an adhesive applicator 15' and the rear of an upper paper piece A is superposed on that of the intermediate paper piece B by a folding machine 16' to be sealed and, after the transfer holes of both side parts of the envelope sheet are cut off by a slitter 17, each envelope sheet 1 is cut by a cutter 18 to prepare an envelope 10. Therefore, the envelope sheet is prepared in an extremely simple manner with good working efficiency. |
