The automatic stacking device comprises a stacking housing which represents an empty skeleton structure. Four approximately U-shaped supports together form in each case one pillar which has sets of toothing or the like which are provided for a climbing drive, and also force and switching lines. The transverse connections are at the same time groove-wheel rails which are equipped with girders and power and switching-current lines and have, in the direction of the U-openings, cutouts for the passage of pinion spindles and the like. The floors, which are absent everywhere, are replaced by displaceable floor plates which can move forwards and backwards and, at right angles thereto, to the left or to the right in one plane, and move upwards or downwards in every shaft of the stacking house. The movement excitation takes place via a switching-current address of the respective displaceable floor plate by means of a counting or ordering device via a progress calculator. The counting and ordering device first of all determines the location of the displaceable floor plate by identification-number input for the displaceable floor plate and input of the destination in the stacking housing. The progress calculator calculates, on the basis of the called-up location and the activities of the other displaceable floor plates, the next movement step towards the desired target and brings about the switching pulses. Using frictionally engaged movement drives, exact holding points are possible, which ... for the change in direction... Original abstract incomplete.
