PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity and S/N of the detector and to reduce cost by providing a photoelectric conversion element which is introduced with the fluorescence generated in a condensing type resin and converts the same to an electric signal. CONSTITUTION:A detector has intensifying screen 3a which converts X-rays to light, a light shieldable mask 3b which is formed with holes corresponding to lighting fields for limiting the lighting fields and the condensing type resin 3c which is formed to the shape of the lighting fields and detects the light from the paper 3a. Further, the detector is constituted of a plastic fiber group 3d which is introduced with the fluorescence generated in the resin 3c from the end of the resin 3c and a photodetector 3e which converts the fluorescence introduced by the fiber group 3d to the electric signal and applies the converted signal to an exposure controller 4. The resin 3c is formed to the shape of the lighting fields and is thereby made into a complete lighting surface and, therefore, the sensitivity and S/N are improved and since a semiconductor detector such as Si chip is not used, the cost is reduced.
