The invention relates to a wind tunnel having interior insulation, having an insulating layer resting on the housing wall and having panel surfaces which delimit the air-passage tunnel, and having an air barrier which is arranged between the insulating layer and the panel surfaces. The invention achieves the object of providing a wind tunnel having an interior insulation, by means of which an effective and uniform heat insulation and a low, uniform mechanical loading of the wind-tunnel housing and of insulation is obtained. This object is achieved according to the invention by the air barrier being designed as a continuous, tubular sheet-metal casing, over which the panel surfaces are held. By virtue of this solution according to the invention, in the case of which no securing elements which pass through the insulating layer and impair the heat insulation are necessary, an effective heat insulation and a low, uniform mechanical loading of the tunnel housing are achieved.
