<p>PURPOSE:To know the abnormal processing of information or the abnormality of a floppy disk device and also to identify the type of the occurred abnormality, etc., by applying the blinking control to a ready pilot lamp of the floppy disk device based on the proper blinking conditions set to said abnormality when the information processing or the floppy disk device has the abnormality. CONSTITUTION:A ready pilot lamp 2A is always lit up in a ready state of a floppy disk device 1A. When the abnormality occurs in the processing of the information on the device 1A, the lamp 2A blinks by the proper blinking conditions proper to said abnormality under the control of a host device. Furthermore the lamp 2A blinks by the proper blinking conditions set to the relevant abnormality under the control of the device 1A in case the device 1A itself has the abnormality. Thus an operator can identify the place and the state of each abnormality.</p> |
