PURPOSE:To prevent omission of characters, etc., in the vicinity of the marginal section of printing paper through the simple operation of the operator by displaying the area of data which can be printed on printing paper of the data displayed on the screen of a displaying means on the screen by means of a printing effective area display commanding means. CONSTITUTION:The operator of an output device used for an electronic computer, etc., transfers data from a picture input means 13 to a storing means 14 through a control section 12 by operating the keyboard of an operating section 11. The means 14 displays the content of the transferred data in the displaying area 9 of a displaying screen 8 by using the character font or graphic font of the control signal of the control section 12 based on the control signal. When the characters, etc., displayed on the screen 8 are printed on the printing paper by means of a printing means 16, an inversion process circuit 17 is caused to make inverting operations through the control section 12 by operating the operating section 11. Then the circuit 17 displays the characters, etc., displayed in the displaying area 9 in such a way that the characters, etc., in an inversion processing area 9b are black-white inverted against those in a printing effective area 9a. |
