PURPOSE:To reduce a form information housing file capacity largely, by identifying the content of a form definition information at the time of generation of said form definition information and by automatically selecting a coding method minimizing the capacity after coding. CONSTITUTION:When a form definition information 21 is inputted to a form definition information input means 11, said form definition information 21 is divided into a ruled line definition information 22, a character string definition information 23 and so on by a form definition information identifier means 12. A coding method, in which a form information content after coding decreases, is selected for the divided form definition information 21 by a coding method decision means 13. A form information coded by the selected coding method is housed in a form information-housing file 17 by a coded form information-housing means 16. |
