PURPOSE: To adjust the positions of inserts by arranging the inserts into contact with second elements separate from clamp devices stored in recesses, and rotatably connecting adjustment elements to the second elements. CONSTITUTION: This milling cutter comprises a tool body 10 having a plurality of peripheral recesses 11. Each recess 11 is adapted to receive an adjustment element 29 and a cutting insert 42 kept in contact with it. The adjustment element 29 has a center axis, and the adjustment element 29 is rotated around the axis to displace the insert 42. A clamp device 38 is received in the recess 11, the insert 42 is fixed adjacently to the clamp device 38, and the tool body 10 has a rotation axis C and a rotating direction R. The insert 42 is arranged into contact with second elements 22, 43, 44 separate from the clamp device 38 received in the recess 11, thereby the adjustment element 29 is rotatably connected to the second elements 22, 43, 44. |
